Getting the most from your candle

Your Botanical Index candle is made with a clean-burning soy wax blend. A little care goes a long way toward a clean, even burn.

First burn

Let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar on your first burn (about 2 hours for the 9 oz, 1 hour for the 4 oz). This sets the memory of the wax and prevents tunneling.

Trim the wick

Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before every burn. A trimmed wick means a smaller flame, less soot, and a longer-lasting candle.

Burn time

Keep burns to 2 to 4 hours at a time. Let the candle cool completely before relighting.

Safety

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from drafts, children, and pets. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Stop burning when 1/4 inch of wax remains.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the scent.
