Terms of Service

Effective October 2026

By ordering from Folio Home, you agree to the terms below. They are written plainly on purpose.

The products

Folio Home sells Botanical Index scented soy candles. Each candle is poured to order — it is made for you after you buy it, by our production partner. Please allow 7–10 business days for production before shipment; carrier transit time begins after your order leaves production.

Numbers in the index are never reused. New numbers may join over time; retired numbers stay retired.

Prices and payment

All prices are in US dollars. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your order and destination. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Where we ship

At launch, Folio Home ships within the United States only.

Shipping address

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If you enter the wrong address, contact us immediately at [email protected] — we will try to correct it before production, but we cannot guarantee changes once an order has entered production. Orders returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address may require a new shipping charge to resend.

Returns and refunds

Because each candle is poured to order, we do not accept returns for change of mind, scent preference, or ordering the wrong size — and we do not offer scent exchanges for undamaged candles.

If your candle arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 30 days of delivery at [email protected] with your order number and clear photos. We will make it right with a replacement or a refund to your original payment method, depending on the issue.

Do not send anything back unless we ask you to. If the jar arrives broken, do not burn the candle.

Candle safety

Candles are an open flame. Burn on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts, children, pets, and anything flammable. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn, never leave a burning candle unattended, and stop using it when about 1/2 inch of wax remains. Use of our candles is at your own risk; follow the safety guidance included with your order.

Order issues

If your tracking has not shown delivery by the estimated date, contact us promptly so we can investigate — timing matters for lost-package claims. Check that your delivery address is complete and check with your local post office or carrier pickup point first, since parcels are sometimes held for pickup.

Intellectual property

The Folio Home name, the Botanical Index concept and numbering, label designs, and site content belong to Folio Home. Please don't copy them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Folio Home's liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.

Changes

We may update these terms as the shop grows. The version in effect when you order applies to that order.
